The horses have now entered the last turn and are
headed for the top of the stretch. Dorrance has maintained a comfortable lead
and unless the other 3 horses make a bold move, Dorrance appears to have the
race won.
We haven’t heard from Dorrance for awhile and one of
two things is probably happening. Either
Dorrance is attempting to complete the actions that I put forward to them, or
they have stated their situation to me and are waiting to see if I will come
back to reality and accept their offer.
If the second one of the above “conditions” is true
then, I must behave in a manner that is consistent with one of the poems that
appear in my book, namely the poem called, --- "If." The line from the poem that is appropriate to
this situation goes like this: “I must
make allowance for their doubting too.”
In
this regard, and if Dorrance wins the race, I will
accept their decision to charge me for publishing the book. I await
their instructions on what conditions they will ask for and how much
they intend to charge me for their services.
We are now in deep stretch and the finish line is in
site. Either Penguin Random House, Houghton
Mifflin Harcourt or Oxford Press make an exceptionally bold move in the
immediate future or Dorrance will be declared the winner.
